The command list depends on the device type. PILOT technical support adds commands to this list. If the command you need is missing, contact support.
After you select a command, its parameter fields appear under Params. The number and purpose of these fields depend on the selected command.
For example, send_message has a message parameter. Enter the command text you want to send to the device in this field.
To request the current status of an ADM333, select send_message and enter the following in message: STATUS
Other commands may have additional parameters.
For command syntax, supported parameters, and reply formats, refer to the manufacturer's documentation. For example:

Server logs

Server logs help you check data exchange between devices and the server, including sent commands and received replies.
To open a log, right-click a record in Commands history and select Server logs.
The log covers the port used by the equipment, so it may contain records for multiple devices. Use the device identifier and command timestamp to find the relevant entries.

Live logs

Live logs display data exchange records as they arrive. This view is available when debug mode is enabled for the relevant server port. Contact technical support to have it enabled.
1. In the Commands window, click Live logs
Commands
2. Check the device identifier and log filename in the window title
3. Find the entries for the time you need
For example, the filename devicecommunicator_20060_20261021.log contains port number 20060 and the date October 21, 2026.
The entries show when the server sent a command and received data from the device. The log also includes other data exchanged through the same port.
The following buttons are available at the bottom of the window:
  • Pause — pause log updates
  • Clear — clear the displayed entries
  • Copy — copy the log contents
  • Cancel — close the window
