Troubleshooting

No data in the external system

If data is not appearing in the external system, check the following:
— the endpoint is enabled
— object relay is enabled
— the External ID is configured correctly
— endpoint settings (Host, Port, Format, Path) are correct
— authentication credentials (Uspw) are valid
— there are no errors in the Statistics tab
— the Queue value is not increasing

A new object was not connected automatically

Check the following:
— an Auto add rule is enabled for the object's contract
— the object was created after the Auto add rule was configured
— the endpoint is enabled
— the object belongs to the contract associated with the Auto add rule
— the user has access rights to that contract

Queue keeps growing

If the Queue value is increasing, packets are accumulating and cannot be delivered.
This usually happens when:
— the external server is unavailable
— connection settings are incorrect
— the receiving system rejects the connection
Check the Host, Port, and Uspw settings, verify the availability of the external system, and review recent errors in the Statistics tab.

Error count (Err) is increasing

If the Err metric continues to grow, check:
— availability of the external system
— authentication settings
— the selected transmission protocol
— schedule settings
— any restrictions or requirements on the receiving side

Send is increasing, but Ack remains zero

If Send increases while Ack remains at zero, the system is transmitting data but is not receiving confirmation from the external system.
Check:
— protocol settings
— External ID
— JSON Config
— authentication credentials
— error messages in the Statistics tab

Statistics are not displayed

Possible causes:
— no data has been transmitted through the endpoint yet
— the selected time period is too short
— the endpoint was created recently
— statistics have not been generated yet

Best practices

• Create a separate endpoint for each external system.
• Configure Auto add if all new objects within a contract should automatically transmit data to the same external system.
• Before deleting an endpoint, verify how many objects are connected to it.
• When troubleshooting, start with the Statistics tab and review the Queue, Err, Send, and Ack metrics.
