How to add an object

You can add an object in the mobile app by scanning a QR code or entering its details manually.
1. Open the Objects tab  
2. Tap the plus icon in the upper-right corner

3. Select an option:
  • Scan QR code
  • Add manually
 

Adding an object using a QR code

1. Select Scan QR code
2. If prompted, allow the app to access the camera
3. Point the smartphone camera at the QR code on the device or generated in PILOT. Make sure the entire code is inside the frame
Once the QR code is recognized, the object is automatically added to the account currently open in the mobile app.
 

Adding an object manually

Manual object creation is available only to users with administrator permissions and consists of three steps.

1. Device

Enter the connected device details:
  • Device ID — the unique device identifier
  • Device type — the device model
  • Device tags — optional tags for grouping and search
   
Tap Next.

2. Vehicle

Enter the vehicle details:
  • Vehicle number — the vehicle registration number
  • Make
  • Model
  • Modification
  • Vehicle type
  • Color — determines the color of the object icon in the app
Fields marked with an asterisk are required. Tap Next.

3. Additional information

Enter any additional details:
  • Group
  • Template
  • Time zone
  • Initial mileage
  • Initial engine hours
  • Description
The available fields in the vehicle profile depend on the enabled modules. For example, the RFID and Dealer ID fields are displayed when the corresponding modules are enabled for the account.
Tap Add object. Once the object has been created successfully, it appears in the main list.
