Moto hours report

An moto hour is a unit used to measure the operating time of an engine or other equipment. In the simplest calculation, one engine hour corresponds to one hour of engine operation. Some systems may also take engine speed and load into account.
Engine hours help determine the actual operating time of equipment, monitor its use, and schedule maintenance based on operating time rather than mileage alone.
The Moto hours report provides information about the operating periods of selected objects during the specified period. Operating periods are determined using the sensor configured for engine-hour calculation.
The Total row shows the total operating time and total fuel consumption for the corresponding object.

What the report shows

  • Sensor — the sensor used to calculate operating time, for example, an ignition sensor
  • Start — the date and time when the sensor became active and engine-hour calculation began
  • Stop — the date and time when the sensor became inactive and engine-hour calculation ended
  • Duration — the operating time for the corresponding interval
  • Fuel — the amount of fuel consumed during the operating interval
For engine hours to be calculated correctly, the appropriate sensor must be configured for the object. Fuel data is displayed when a fuel-level or fuel-consumption sensor is installed and configured correctly.
