Tokens

A token is a unique access code that allows other users to view the location of objects without having access to your account.
In simple terms, a token is like a temporary pass. It provides limited access to certain information without revealing your personal data or password.
In the Tokens tab, you can create two types of tokens:

Monitor token

These tokens are used for monitoring objects without full access to your account:
  • You can share a link with another person using this token
  • They will see a map with the objects and their movement
  • They will not receive the login or password to your account
How to create a monitor token:
1. In the Monitor tokens section, click Add token
2. In the window that opens, fill in the token information:
  • Set the validity period — select the start and end date and time for the token
  • Choose which map to use for displaying the objects
  • Specify whether to display object markers or sensors on the map
  • Select the objects to monitor using this token
    3. Click Save
    4. The system will generate a unique link or iframe code for embedding
    5. Copy the link or code and send it to the person who needs access to the information

Access token

This type of token allows login to the system without a password:
  • The user can log in directly to PILOT via a special link as a user
  • The system treats the login as if the user signed in with a username and password
  • The token can have an expiration date or be permanent
How to create an access token:
1. In the Access tokens section, click Add token
2. In the new window, specify the start and end date and time for the token. If you do not set an end date, the token will work permanently
3. Click Save

To edit a token, click the pencil icon .
To delete a token, click the trash bin icon
