What’s new in PILOT 7.10

PILOT 7.10 expands reporting, automation, and integration capabilities, introduces an updated admin panel, and adds new features to the mobile app.
 

PILOT web

We’re continuing to develop the PILOT AI Assistant. In this release, we’ve updated its design and expanded its capabilities. It answers questions about the platform, helps users find relevant features and documentation, and suggests solutions to common tasks. If no ready answer is available, the assistant can help prepare a request for technical support.

Developers can also get guidance on working with the API and creating extensions. The AI Assistant is still being tested and refined, so its capabilities and response quality will continue to improve.
The fuel sensor settings include a new Reverse Flowdrain feature. It helps detect fuel theft involving fuel being drained through the return line. The system analyzes abnormal fuel consumption while the vehicle is moving, estimates the amount of fuel drained, and marks the event location on the map.

Bus stop visits can be tracked using RFID tags. You can link one or more tags to each stop along a bus route. When a vehicle reads a linked tag, the system recognizes a visit to the corresponding stop.

Added a new sensor that calculates mileage based on pulses from the speedometer or other connected equipment. It can be used when GPS/GLONASS data is unavailable or insufficiently accurate. You can configure the number of pulses per kilometer separately for each vehicle.
The Downtimes tab in the Service module includes options for filtering, importing, and exporting records. You can filter records by object, date, duration, and downtime reason, as well as export them to a file or import them back into the system. This makes it easier to find the required information and manage large numbers of records.

Video uploads now display the amount of data transferred, completion percentage, current transfer speed, and estimated time remaining. This makes it easier to see when the video will be ready and identify slowdowns in data transfer.
 

Reports

We redesigned the process for creating automated report schedules. Report settings, the report data period, and the generation schedule are organized into separate sections, allowing you to independently specify which data to include and when to generate and send the report.
The scheduler supports reports for the entire previous day, custom start and end times, and periods that span midnight. Before saving, you can review the data period for the next report and select specific days of the week for report generation.

Filter reports by driver

Added the ability to generate reports for selected drivers only.
The new On Driver option is available for the Excessive idling report, Mileage report (Driver), and Trips and parkings (with drivers) reports.

When this option is enabled, the Drivers panel opens, where you can select one or more drivers or an entire driver group. The report includes only events associated with the selected drivers.

Selecting geofences for the report

Before building the Movement between zones report, you can select the required geofences. The report will include only movements between the selected geofences.

Report builder

Activity reports can include values from discrete, DIP, and selector sensors. To display the data, select the relevant sensor tag when configuring the column.
The Report builder includes a new {"merge": true} setting. Use it when you need a single summary row for each split period instead of a detailed list of events.
When enabled, records within the period are merged and intermediate rows are hidden.
For example, in a report split by day, you can display one row per driver with the total mileage, driving and idle time, the start time of the first trip, and the end time of the last trip. This makes reports more compact and summary values easier to compare.
For columns containing numeric values, you can apply the >, <, or = conditions. For example, the > 25 filter in the Eco Event Max Speed column includes only rows where the maximum speed exceeds 25 km/h.
For reports of the Geofences type, you can select how rows are generated:
  • Geofence visits — a separate row is created for each geofence visit
  • Equipment work periods — a separate row is created for each operation period of the selected sensor within a geofence
For example, Equipment work periods can be used to determine how long equipment operated within a specified area. If the equipment was switched on before the object entered the geofence, the period starts upon entry. If the object leaves the geofence before the equipment is switched off, the period ends upon exit. The report includes only the intervals during which the object was inside the geofence and the equipment was operating.
Added the ability to split report data by work shift. A separate interval with calculated metrics is created for each shift, allowing daytime and nighttime activity to be analyzed independently.
In the report configuration, you can define shift boundaries, display one shift or all shifts, and choose whether to keep an overnight shift intact or split it at midnight.

Integrations and API

Employees can send work statuses, photos, and videos to PILOT through the Telegram bot. Available statuses are configured in advance for each account, so employees only need to select the appropriate option in the bot.
Submitted photos and videos can be viewed and downloaded in the PILOT web interface. This allows dispatchers to track work progress and keep supporting materials together with the related work data.
The Webhook block has been added to Control room algorithms. It automatically sends event data to external services. Place the block in the required algorithm branch. When linking the algorithm to a notification, specify the recipient URL and the data to be sent.
Added an API for retrieving photos and videos associated with ADAS and DMS events. You can request data for selected objects over a specified period and receive links to view the media files in a browser. The retrieved files can be used in external systems to analyze and review events.
 

Admin panel

New design

The admin panel now features a new design and a higher-contrast color palette. The dark sidebar is visually separated from the light workspace. Selected rows, statuses, and data states are easier to distinguish, while large tables are easier to read.
Search, filters, and record actions are located directly above the table, keeping the main tools close to the data.
The user panel has moved from the upper-right corner to the bottom of the sidebar. It displays the user profile and provides quick access to:
— switching between light and dark themes
— selecting the interface language
— viewing news
— signing out
— collapsing the sidebar
Along with the new design, the admin panel’s internal components have been updated. The interface now displays correctly in modern browsers, while tables, forms, and controls work consistently across all sections.

Comms Cloud SIM card management

PILOT now supports Comms Cloud SIM cards. In one section, you can view SIM card details and status, open the linked vehicle, and block or unblock the SIM card when needed.
 

Mobile app

The mobile app includes a new Dashboard tab for quick access to key fleet performance metrics. It displays an overview for the past 24 hours, including idle and operating time, mileage, and the number of vehicles.
Vehicle and connectivity statuses, mileage, violations, geofences, and other metrics are presented in clear charts, making it easier to assess fleet performance and spot issues from your phone.

   
The PILOT AI Assistant is available in the mobile app. It helps users find features and explains how to complete common tasks, such as generating a report, configuring an object, creating a geofence, or connecting a device. Responses may include links to relevant documentation. Chats are saved in the history, so you can return to a previous conversation to review an answer or continue the discussion.
The PILOT mobile app supports two-factor authentication. After entering your login and password, confirm the sign-in with a one-time code from an authenticator app or sent by email. This additional verification protects your account even if someone else obtains your password.
   
The Events section includes separate Notifications and Events tabs, making it easier to find the information you need. The first tab shows triggered notification rules, while the second displays changes in object and sensor states.
For each tab, you can select objects, data types, and a viewing period separately. You can also view the location where an event or notification was recorded on the map.

 

You can top up your organization’s balance through Stripe. In the Finance tab, enter the amount, proceed to payment, and select an available payment method on the Stripe page.
This feature is available for accounts with Stripe payments enabled. After completing the payment, you can check the updated account balance directly in the app.
 
PILOT 7.10 introduces more tools for data analysis, process automation, and mobile access to the platform. These capabilities help users find the information they need faster and monitor fleet operations more effectively.
